That nipple unscrews from the intake. take it out and clean it with tune up cleaner or something similar.

If you have the intake off, it would not be a bad idea to have it washed at a machine shop.

If the EGR is welded shut, it won't likely cause any driveability issues...unless it burned the O-rings off and it's letting exhaust seep by.

Mind elaborating on that a little?

Are you talking about the 6C683 screen under the oil cooler, or something else?

There's no filter screen on the fuel pump. There's a filter in that housing. If the filter plugs, it will lower fuel pressure and the injectors hammer themselves to death.

Default Need some help

04 6.0 F350 (Juice Platinum w/ attitude, Volant cold air intake, 4 1/2" exhaust; egr cooler by pass/block with egr valve mod. and AMSOIL oil bypass system).
Pulling trailer blower fan has not been engaging. Was about to take back to dealer when I noticed I had an FICM "low voltage" DTC. Ran a voltage check and found the alternator was out; although I never got a dash indicator light, System was down to 11.8 volts with our without engine running. Since the blower fan is controlled by the PCM, is it possible that my blower fan is not engaging because of the low voltage and alternator not charging.
Any help would be appreciated. Dealer wants $250.00 to answer this question. Also, fan clutch was replaced 6 months ago and fan was working fine.
