I was having problems with my 2006 6.0 with it over heating. Took it to the dealer and he replaced the oil cool. He has now had it 5 out of the last 6 weeks. It has continued to over heat. The engine has been flushed many times. The last time they replaced the radiator and the fan clutch. This truck has 195,00 miles and the warranty is good until 200,000. I have been told by several other dealers that the next step is to replace the engine. Is this the direction I need to demand?

Refer them to TSB 08-23-1 to flush the cooling system. If they do the procedure properly it will work. (Unless your milkhake in the cooling system as turned into a solid mass, in which case, you're screwed.)

Have no experience with the liberator kit, but i would definitely not delete the oil cooler.

 

On the really solidified ones that come into our shop for flushing we typically send them to the rad shop for flushing they seem to get it all out for about 450 Bucks. before we did this we used to replace engines.....

if you dont have oil in your cooling system anymore i think the dealer might be missing something.... thermostats... egr cooler.... blockage........

IMO i don't reccomend modifying anything but if your dead set on it please get your truck so it doesnt overheat before spending your money on something that already has a problem.....
