anyone got any info on the banks six-gun with pda? is it worth buying? any problems with them anyones heard of?

 

Im not a Banks guy, but my cousin has one on his 07 dmax and likes it. Not sure how they are on the 6.0. If you want power and reliablity get a SCTx3 with custom tunes from innovative diesel or some one else who does tunning. My truck is tuned by truck source diesel. A proper tune for your set up will be much safer on your truck then anything banks, bullydog, or edge put out. Not that they arnt good products, just not for me.

 

yea ive heard the SCT tunes are they way to go. But Banks claims to have all sorts of saftey features which is wat im looking for, more power without tearing the truck up. if thats possible . anyone else?

 

IMO properly done custom tunes are much safer. It wont have al the built in safety such as defueling points and all that. But thats driver responsability anyway.

so when you buy say an SCT programmer do they charge to put the tunes on it? if so how much?

 

If you buy the tuner from someone like Innovative Diesel, Elite Diesel or GOGO Diesel they will provide custom tuning with the device cost.

 

I depends. Most are included in the cost of the programmer. The place where i got mine was only 20 bucks more and its lifetime free retuning whenever you add more goodies.

 

i have the banks 6 gun with pda and i wish i would have gon with the sct. the pda is giving me all kinds of problems. the banks part works grate but pda is junk..but thats my thoughts but yes it dose have a lot of safty.. and the codes for it is the same as taking it to fords shop if that makes any since.

 

wat kinds of problems do you have with the pda?

 

i have a banks big hoss kit. head gaskets have blown and oil cooler gone. the safety features aint all that safe.
