04' down for the count
And a week later we have a verdic, #3 injector is leaking combustion pressure back through and the other 3 have low pressure, oil cooler has a hole in it again, and not related to the motor but the abs pump is shot. $1800 price tag is awesome
. hopefull it will last this time

How did they figure out which injector it was?
AFAIK, you can pretty much only isolate the bank, unless they have the injectors out and can see burn marks on the surface that rides against the cup. Generally when I see this under warranty - the entire bank gets replaced.

the only time i see this really is when something has gone amuck previously.....
under or over tourqed injectors number one with the idiots in my shop
lack of fuel pressure typically not caught in time.....
then to the injector cups
see in my dealership i get what they call all the headache diesels......
so i get to fix some real stupid and unneeded repairs
but i get paid well plus i get to give **** to those who deserve it...

Quoted for truth, and a big +1 to that.
i'm not sure how they figured that out, but it's leaking combustion pressure back through the injector. i'm taking their word for it cause i'm not a mechanic, but maybe i should be
Make sure there checking your fuel pressure extremely close as well as replacing the check valves in the head. In my experience when you have an injector try to run on air instead of fuel it's just a matter of time before one whole bank of injectors need to be replaced.......
Ill try and take a video for the next one i do....
The wynns setup is a 3 step process you have an aerosol can to spray in the intake to loosen the carbon deposits then the second part that gets sucked through the EGR valve opening then the third part that you put in the tank to allow a deep clean of the fuel lines and internal injectors.
the trick i have found in using it was to just trickle the second part into the intake and not open the valve and let it flow....
oh and a well ventilated area is a must even with the exhaust hose on it still gassed out the shop and the amount of carbon that was on the floor when finished was amazing....
Kit
Valve
Before and after on the valve- and there is no rubbing or scrubbing you spray it on and watch the carbon melt away...
Link to there propaganda!!!
