egr

is it possible to clean the egr vavle ive heard it is? is so how? mines went out 3 times.

Locate EGR valve on top of motor, disconnect plug, remove two mounting bolts. Try prying on the bolt holes after you turn the EGR valve this will help you get under the lip. Clean as needed, reinstall.

Or just order up one of the many delete kits that are out there and forget about the biggest POS part ever put on a Diesel...

If you go this route, you will need custom tunes or you will have a check engine light on all the time. The valve is not hard to clean. I used to do it at every oil change.
