Default Turbo control

I got an 03 I'm swapping my 12valve Cummins into, currently it's going to have an he351vgt over an ht3b but the vgt is controlled by a wastegate which isn't the best way. I'm planning on keeping the ford computer and putting all the ford sensors on the Cummins so that got me thinking-will the computer still be able to control the vnt Garrett turbo still? Then I could run that over the 3b and have a factory controller for it

So I guess the question is will the computer still control the turbo or does it use feed back from the ficm? I'm pretty sure it would still work because I think it uses the mapp sensor, rpms, and the exhaust sensor to keep the turbo in its target range as the computer has no way of knowing the exact position of the veins in the turbo as it operates off an oil actuated solenoid and not a brushless motor like the 351 with feedback. But I honestly don't know
