Starting issues
Hi all,
I'm new to the powerstroke family, but not the ford family. I have 3 mustangs so I love fords. Anyways I finally bought a F350 to pull my drag car project. But I have had nothing but starting issues. I bought a scan gauge 2 to see my ficm voltage and sync, ipr, icp. This I thought will help me fix this issue. 90% of the time everything is within spec. But the odd time the ficm voltage and ficm supply voltage will drop well bellow the starting min 45volt reading when it does this it will drop to 2.0volts on both readings for the ficm. The truck voltage is showing 12.1 at this time. Also the batteries are new as well as a new alternator. The ficm was replaced by the previous owner about a year ago it's an aftermarket unit from Alliant power. When everything is normally it shows about 50.1v. The cables where cleaned and I checked and cleaned all ground straps. The truck has only 100000km or around 60000miles and is a 07. I m running out of this to check. Any help would be appreciated.
