Default delete kit

I purchased a 2004 Ford F-350 Diesel from a local used car dealer and my check engine light kept coming on.come to find out there is an EGR delete kit already in it
is there a way to make my engine light go off?

The old owner probably took tuner out of it that keeps light from coming on. Anytime something is deleted, a custom programmed tuner needs installed. Had best luck with SCT. Shipper will have a programmer they trust that they ship to and he will ship to you.

As long as the CEWL is related to the EGR it can be "fixed" with a mild tune. Otherwise most often this isn't a problem for the 2004 MY trucks.

you could always take the egr valve and plug it in to get the light to go out.you could zip tie it up out of the way like a few do but the sct is hands down is the best tuner out.the 03's don't have this issue at all and all the 04's i've owned have never done this strange.
