06 powerstroke has a light haze of smoke at idle. Strange this is it comes and goes. Sometimes heavy or lite. Puffs blue at take off but goes away when under way. Anybody? Oh, I forgot some stuff. Full egr delete, 4 inch turbo back exhaust . Sct tuner set on canned street tune. Pulled down pipe and felt oily residue. Can't make out the smell tho.

 

sounds to me like an oil leak in the turbo.

 

thats whatn im hoping. but how can i be sure without feeding the stealer?

 

can someone give me more signs of bad turbo oil seals. im just trying to rule out everything before i get my powermax

 

I would start by checking the intake manifold. if there is oil pooled up inside, it could be a sign that the seals are bad.

 

Guess I'll pull the egr delete cover off this weekend. Wish something could be easy about these engines! I'm seriously considering getting the auto ingenuity software. Could answer a lot of questions, now and down the road.
