2004 f350 6.0 210,000 miles. ficm has 7 contact points. Changed fuel filters, oil/filter. Check ficm 48.+V both key on and running. Tried Lucas injector cleaner. Problem is not always an issue. seems bad 2/3+ of the time. Started this winter after I replaced the ball joints, and front bearings, weird. Full tank of fuel. Have not pulled codes yet. Periodically trouble starting. Batteries test at 12+v not running 13+v running. Could it be the fuel pump in the separator? When I did the fuel filters, the upper filter was black. Time to try the HotShot oil treatment?

I would check fuel pressure at the upper filter housing. I always run power service or fppf fuel treatment, seems to help cetane rating.

I havent found out much about ICP and IPR yet(What exactly they are). I will keep trying to find out about them on forum. But, any help would be great. Thanks.

Power service, I have been using the cetane booster and recently the cleaner+cetane. No change. Also, I have cleaned the EGR valve.

I'm wondering if you have a bad connection somewhere, harness chafed somewhere? Hot shot will help with injector stiction, where spool valve doesn't work properly to allow fuel into cylinder. If you have bad connector at ICP your ficm won't see oil pressure required to fire. Are there any mods to engine?

Sry, IPR shorted will cause no start, I get em mixed up sometimes

Sounds like the HPOP crapping out. Been there done that, when I owned my 04 Ford PSD.
