Coreection... I thinknis 1/4 male flare. Yes. I would look at Lowes store. They got more selection

Awesome info. Do I need to power ipr to close? Do you have a link or instructions on how to do this test?

Yes. U can wire it from a connector. I have to look under my hood. But you can search for the instruction from Google.

Ok thanks for the help. I'm actually excited and anxious to try this out. I've always done my own work but this is my first diesel. Hopefully it will be warmer tomorrow I hate mechanicing in the cold. Can't wait to dive in I love the challenge. I'll post what I find and any questions I may have.

Haven't checked hpop yet but I noticed today I cranked for about a good 25-30 secs and my oil gauge never nudged but when running it shows normal.bad lpop?

Could be low pressure pump. The gauge in dash is engine oil pressure. (Well isn't really gauge ) that feeds engine oil and feeds hpop with oil. If it isn't feeding hpop will not fire injectors.

Its also dying when I put it in gear it idles ok.soldered ficm this weekend runs lil better but not right.any advice on that?

You need to know oil pressure and if you have a leak. Aftermarket oil filters don't seat check valve in filter housing, tubes feeding oil to rails can leak, dummy plugs in rails can leak. Injector to rail connection can leak. You can guess a lot but to fix it you need to know pressure is good first.

I changed oil this weekend and the dying when I pit it into gear started almost instantly.i used a boschfilter do they have a history of being a pain on 6.0s?
