Sct is the only way to go...get some custom tunes from who ever u like best...gear head, innovative, Vivian...lots out there

 

Custom SCT file is going to work just fine.

 

SCT is my choice. I had a Bully Dog PMT for awhile it was good, but SCT is better and cheaper. I have tunes from MKM and Innovative Diesel. I prefer the tunes from Innovative

 

I know this sounds like a dumb question but how would u get the tunes ..... do you buy them off the internet and download them?

 

Yes. You need to decide what company you want to use. They will ask you for some info about your truck, you get emailed the tune. You load the tune into the SCT and start smiling.

I will suggest you find a scanner/tuner that can pull down the PCM/TCM/FICM strategy. When you go to order the SCT you can tell them your strategy codes and maybe they can /update/preload the SCT for you. Add your state/location to your profile, this helps us find you.

 

Just some more input on that. You can check locally, there may be a shop in your area that writes tunes for SCT devices. I know when I was in South Carolina there was a couple.
