EGR Delete
Hello Gents,
I'm helping a buddy out and he has a 2006 6.0L with around 30,000miles on it no engine or transmission mods. It's completely stock.
He wants to purchase and install the sinister diesel EGR delete kit Sinister | SIN-SMC-EGRD-6.0 | Sinister Diesel EGR Valve/Cooler Delete For 6.0L Ford - Alligator Performance
What I want to know is,
Does this kit throw an engine code/check engine light?
If it does, will the truck run normal or run in limp mode?
will a tuner fix the check engine light and codes or what do I have to do?

those ones should get the check engine light and yes a tuner will turn it off. another option is a bulletproof egr cooler. It retains your emissions compliance while being a much better unit than factory. Just another option to throw into the ring
Any EGR delete used on a 2006 will throw a CEL or code. A tuner will not "fix" a CEL. Your best option is to use a custom SCT tune to prevent the CEL. I don't recall all the tuners on the market and their functions. You may need to research other brands to see if those will work.
