My heads blow and then take them off and stud it then thanks for all the goood info

If you don't have the meens to lift the body then just pull the motor, I have done that on my own truck and on my sisters truck. I still think I can pull the engine quicker then you can lift the cab plus you don't have to bleed the AC system. The only extra parts to buy when doing this is 6 torque converter nuts.. I use a foldable engine lift that I got from Harbour freight rated at 2ton, have it extended all the way out to the half ton and it works fine. I made my ownlifting plate that bolts to the turbo pedestal mounting holes in the block and it bolts to one of the oil cooler mounting holes for extra security and I used the oil cooler bolts to bolt it down with as they are rated at 10.8.
I pull the radiator and the inter cooler and the core support wich is eay to remove, this gives you enough room to pull it forward and up.

Oh yeah, plus you can drop the pan and clean it out, guarenteed you will find broken tywrap pieces in there and on 03 and 04 trucks you will find pieces of the glowplug harness in there too, it has a longer plastc piece that brakes off when it gets brittle, then just put a film of oil or grease on the gasket and reinstall, the oil pan gasket is reusable as long as it isn't damaged.
