Hi guys I just bought. A 04 power stroke has 160, 000 miles. There are no mods just head studded. I was driving it down the high way. An in the middle of accelerating the truck seems toblose power an the turbo sounds like its blowing off like a ricer. Drove the truck around some more today an it did it again but this time was at 45 just cruzing. Has any body had this problem. Any help would be great.cheaked the turbo an it spools an. Sucks there is no shaft play..thanks

 

Does this happen when you let off the pedal suddenly??

 

No this is with the pedal down an in like the middlebof third gear

 

Inspect the boots and piping for leaks. If there is a "blow off" sound is probably a leak somewhere.

 

I looked at the boots today an. They all seem to be ok. All the piping is alumi. I notice today the truck going u the road cold seems to boost up then down then up an back down u can notice it inside of the truck is that. Normal
