So my egr cooler ruptured and truck is down. Ordered the sinister delete with oil cooler replacement and all the gaskets. For around 650 what's the going rate on labor. My mechanic said 1650 out the door for parts and labor fluids etc. does that sound close. I would have shopped around but he is a good friend of mine does great work and guarantees everything. Plus he takes credit cards because this was a needed and wanted but not planned expense.

 

this is something anyone who knows how to use tools can do in about 8 hours the first time and after that they should be able to do it in about 5-6 hours. So if this is a good mechanic it should be done in less then5 hours. only special tool needed is a t45torx to remove the oil filter housing.
