Default Hard shift then high EGTs?

I was getting on the interstate today and had to speed up to get over. Truck downshifted and shifted really hard which im guessing because I had to nail it. Then came to a stop mile or 2 down the road went to take off didn't do anything. No engine rev or boost then shifted and egts were hitting 800* while speeding up to 40-45 then would drop. Felt funny driving the rest of the way home. No codes all fluids right level. Reprogrammed with looney wild and took it for a drive. Drove great no problems besides egts hitting 1100* at 3/4 throttle to 55 then dropped to 800*. Possible the probe just went bad?

I doubt the probe went bad. What are your boost levels like, is it possible a boot cracked on ya or even a cooler tube on drivers side if you have the plastic one. High EGTs is too much fuel or too little air.
