6.0L surges at idle
I noticed that my recently bought 03 Excursion 6.0L sometimes surges at idle. I notice when at stop lights with the truck in D that I can hear the rpms go up a little then back down. If I am lightly holding the brakes the truck will move a little each time. It has fresh 10W-30 syn oil, new EGR and new filters (all factory). What can be some causes of this?

Just put studs on 2 weeks ago, the stock bolts hadn't let go yet but I was pulling motor anyway to upgrade my high pressure oil system to the 05 and later system which also involved changing rocker boxes so the head bolts had to come out. 268k isn't bad for factory bolts but I was always carefull when towing.

The Banks intercooler is nice but I don't like there intake elbo so when I orderd the setup I also ordered a CFM largemouth kit and gave the banks elbo and the cfm cooler pipe/goes from 2 1/2 to 3" for the largemouth/ to my sister for her truck..
Also after the replacement of head gaskets and adding studs it did seem as I had more power so it might have been the newer HPOP or might have had a gasket leak between cylinders.

either bad sensors on the truck or what happened when i use to own an jeep 2011 diesel and that happened was one of my injectors was literally all messed up and it was frayed to the point if it got hot or wet or anything it would spark and too much electricity was getting in there and messing with the computer but that was rare i was told. so go with first option lll!!!!
