Default P0611 caused by weak alternator?

Pulled a P0611 code yesterday. Load tested the batteries here at work today they test good but on the lower side about 11.5-12 volts whole loaded. The alternator shows about 12.5, is that normal? I haven't got to test FICM voltage yet, but figure I need to test the others first anyways. Any thoughts, need new alternator, batts, or check FICM?

I'm understanding these trucks are very sensitive to correct voltage. If you determine it is the alternator, I went with a DC Power alternator. 220 amps. . .i just tested everything today to verify bad fuel pump and ficm was a steady 48 volts and charging was steady 14 volts. . I'm happy with their product and its made to be better than modded stock alternator. . . .look into it if you definitely need one. . I'm happy!

Is there a difference between 7.3 and 6.0 alternators? Think I've got a 7.3 that I can run for a few weeks till I can come up with cash to go with A dc. I need to make sure it will work without harming anything. Thanks.

Ended up with a 140 amp lifetime guarantee from oreillys may not be the best but with the warranty hopefully ill be ok just couldn't be down long enough to wait on ordering one. So far the code only showed up that one time and I think it's because I rushed a cold start

What was the O'Reily's 140 amp alternator part number?

What did it set you back? (cost)

Ill have to look at the part # on the receipt in my truck and get back to you but I got the remanufactured one for $154 plus 35 core and tax or you can get the new one for around $200 both have same warranty though. You can tell them it's an03-07 6.0 single alt and you want the 140 instead of 110 and they can find it too. That's what I did.
