Default bolt in oil pan

Had anybody found a loose bolt in the oil pan? And where could it have come from?

If I had to guess id say it made its way down from a previous hpop repair.

ah ok. If you haven't had any recent work done to the engine that's pretty crazy but, theres no tellin if that bolt has been in there for a long time from a repair and finally made its way to the pan. If it runs fine I wouldn't worry about it. Knowing what the bolt looks like would help determine where it could have come from.

Just got back from the dealer he thinks its a quadra jet oil bolt. Ever hear of this? Ballpark $1800 just to investigate. How risky is it to run it for a couple thousand miles to save cash?

what in the world is a quadra jet oil bolt? haha

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

if its fairly tiny, it could be out of the top of an injector, have seen those come out and end up in the oil pan.
