Default 2005 6.0 Powerstroke Still won't start

I really need help before I take this truck out to the field and use it for target practice! I have a 2005 F-350 with the 6.0 and up until recently it has been a pretty good truck. About 2 months ago my EGR cooler plugged up so I did an EGR delete kit and Oil Cooler. It worked really well for a few weeks then just died on me one day. I towed it home and started tearing it down. I found that the gasket to the oil cooler cover failed and filled all the screens with little pieces of it. I went through eveything and replaced all the screens, replaced all the gaskets with OEM parts, put it back together and it still wouldn't start. I towed it to the Ford Dealer, they told me it is the FICM. I Towed it back home and installed a FICM, still no start. I towed it back to the Ford Dealer they told me it was the HPOP. I towed it back home replaced the HPOP, stand pipes, and dummy plugs. Still no start. I am out of ideas, PLEASE HELP!

Do you have low pressure oil? Does the gauge on the dash move when cranking? How long have you cranked it since having the system open?

you have to crank theses trucks forever after you replace HPOP, I don't think there is a battery that can do it without it being on a charger. One thing to reduce cranking is to remove the ICP sensor an hold a rag there and then crank until oil comes out, then put the icp sensor back in and crank it again, this helps get the air out of system. Even after you get it started it will still run rough for a while, ford says to hold it a 3000rpm for 3 minutes but I prefer to drive it for about 20 miles getiing on it at times to get the rest of the air out. Also when you got the new FICM did you have it programmed? it won't work unless it has. When you turn the key to on do you hear the injectors go through their buzz test?? and yes make sure you have low pressure oil, also was the screen under the oil cooler busted? if so then you might have to pull the IPR valve, which you did when you did the HPOP and make sure the screen on it is ok and not clogged or busted, if busted then replace just the screen, alot cheaper then the whole thing.

another trick is to pull the ICP sensor and crank it till oil comes out the hole the reinstall the ICP and it will fire off quicker, it really helps purge the air out of it quicker.

use rev-x oil additive, it will keep your engine temps down which will then help you with the no start when its hot, rev x is liquid gold for 6.0

I have a 2006 f350 4x4 long bed dually. Love my Truck, but have had similar issues
here and there. We just replaced the egr, and oil coolers, and all that entails, everything else checked out fine. Not the best back yard mechanic, but can hold my own, otherwise I take it in. I had a no start when warm a while back. Would fire right up if it was cold. Turned out to be the glowplug ignitor. Hope that helps
