Default 2005 6.0 no hot restart

I was having a problem with the cam sensor when the truck got hot. I drove the truck about thirty miles and shut it off and it would not start after thirty minutes of sitting. I have an idea it is a problem with the crappy wire harness I have already replaced the injector harness. Any suggestions would be great. I already have a new engine harness on the way.

I would say that it is the stc fitting on the hpop. Does it start right up when it is cold?.

when you crank the truck a long time and it doesn't start it will throw FALSE codes, CAm and brake controller are the most common but they are NOT the cause of the problem, they are false codes... Farm boy is right, most likely the STC fitting on the HPOP, very common and another thing that should be addressed at the same time is new Standpipes and Dummy plugs, they can also cause the Hot No Start condition, your local Ford dealer should have them in stock or you can order them from Tousley Ford for less, their prices are $38 for STC fitting and $102 for the standpipe dummyplug kit. Most people can do this on their own in a weekend or 1 long day, a dealer will charge over a grand to do this as they are ripoff artists.

I jut went through that stuff and replaced it all and yes it was throwing the false codes. It does not start at all oil pressure is great all new injectors and the IPR is new ad was clean. When I unplugged the harness from the sensors it dropped the codes

What is your oil pressure reading at. it has to be about 500+ to pop the injectors. if it aint over that you may have a leak or your hpop maybe goin out.

did you just do all this work? if so have you had it running sinse the new injectors were put in? if not then you have to keep cranking it, it takes alot of cranking to get enough air out of the system fo it to fire up, after it fires it takes about 20 miles of hard driving to get the rest of the air out.

Yes it ran great right after the work was done then about a month later I ran it Anouilh thirty miles and turned it off for about thirty min and it would not start. The cam sensor shut the truck down a couple times the day before and the main engine harness is junk.

might want to check the harness at the crank sensor too, i is on oppisite side o motor, if there is a short in any of the sensor circuits it will cut the motor off.

I'm replacing the whole harness so hopefully it fixes there are many frayed and exposed wires all over the old harness. It may be the FICM but I'm not sure.
