Would shorted batteries have those issues? Batteries didnt look like this before.

Ok so now i tested both batteries and their voltages were both 12.22V DC.. Tried started the truck to test alternator and battery load voltage and the truck wont start, it seems to crank normally, i hear glow plugs cycle, then when i turn key and crank every gauge goes insane back and forth and all lights on instrument cluster flicks on and off, also hear a clicking noise, it clicks 3 times.. Fuel pump seems to be working i laid under the truck and listened to it...

Any ideas?

any ideas on the gauges going crazy problem..? possibly a bad ground on something? need this truck back on the road and with hardly any money, gotta do it myself.

found the rats nest underneath where the turbo mounts at, had to take off the intake and air filter and pulled it out..

the computer drops out at about 8volts, if while cranking it goes below that the guages will do all kinds of crazy things, I have seen that to but my bats were shot.
