That is what I'm saying. and back to the water pumps, i don't doubt Mdub whatsoever but after talking to ford and a number of other diesel performance shops including bulletproof diesel they all told me if i don't have a problem with it now then don't touch it.

That is also normally my approach. I hate replacing parts that don't need it, but for me, spending the $100 on the pump to do it while the cab is off is a good investment. My truck already has 110k miles, poor coolant flow to my veggie tank, and it's like a 20 minute job with the cab off, instead of a 4 hour job with it on. Also adding a Bosch in-line coolant pump back by my veggie tank to keep hot coolant flowing back there too!

Mike, are your coolant lines going to veggie tank insulated? would help keep the heat in the coolant

Yes, insulated front to back. There are two coolant lines and two fuel lines, all wrapped up together. I will probably be converting to TIH (tube in hose). Where the fuel will go through an aluminum tube, and that tube will actually run on the inside of the coolant hose, so it's fully wrapped in hot coolant!

My problem is just poor coolant flow Bob, it's quite common with the 6.0's with vegistrokes actually. A good buddy of mine (goes by Snake on most forums) said when he put in his bulletproof oil cooler that problem went away... interesting. The in line coolant pump has helped others tremendously as well.

Of course, blown headgaskets don't help either... can't get heat in the cab without driving it down the road so likely not going to heat that 51 gallon tank in the back good either haha

Here's my list...my cabs off already so this weekend get everything done except putting the cab back on.

Matt at gearhead tunes extreme, srl+, 8000lb tow
Egr delete
Oem gaskets
Arp head studs
New oil cooler
Blue spring update
4" ss exhaust off the turbo back
Coolant bypass/circulation kit
Sinister coolant filtration system
Cat coolant
Clean turbo
Heads are getting magnafluxed, resurfaced, and a valve job new guides etc.


Oh and low pressure oil pump since cylinder 7 is getting honed and new piston and rings. But that's just me

Get a monitoring system as well...if you have an iPhone or android dashboss is the way to go
