Default Rough Idle after driving short trip

I have a short trip to work so I idle my truck at both ends of the trip. The last 2 days i have driven a short distance and then sat in my truck while idling. The engine is at running temp at this point. I will sit there and after a few seconds the engine starts to lope and rough idle. Kinda sounds like an old hot rod with a big cam. Now it has been pretty cold the last couple days with air temps around 5 degrees but it has never done this before? When driving it runs good and strong and does not miss a beat. But once it idles for a minute it starts to get rough. Any ideas? Gelling fuel? I just changed fuel filters, air filter, and had FICM rebuilt last year. I just dont want to get stranded somewhere. Thanks

Aaron

Not likely a fuel issue or gelling, if that was happening you wouldn't be able to drive to work in the first place. It would idle fine and fall on it's face when you stepped on the pedal asking for more fuel.

Could be ICP sensor acting up. Could also be a small high pressure oil leak.

hmmm yeah thats true! I will look and see if i have an oil leak. Is the ICP a pain on the 04 models? I know it is on the 03 from what i have read. Will that set a code?

The ICP depends on if it was built before or after 9/22/03, if before it is going to be behind the turbo, if after it will be right on pass side valve cover right behind the glowplug module, mine has done the same thing for the past 3 years, the new blue fuel spring has really helped but I found out my original fuel pump was dying and hurt my injectors so I replaced 4 of them so far but I need to get back to work before I can replace the other 4
