How big of a bill was that? I have got 153000 on mine and no studs yet?

 

My cab is going up next week for studs. I probably have around $1500 into all the parts, including an extra set of heads and machine work on them... I shopped around quite a bit and found some deals on parts.

 

Do you do it yourself? How long does it take to remove or just lift the cab? Once your in there is difficult or just time consuming?

 

The whole thing is just time consuming, but should be able to be done in a weekend by a first timer (with an extra set of hands/eyes). I will be doing it with my buddy yes. A good tech can have the cab up in under an hour. For me, being my first time, I'm expecting 2-3 hours to have the cab up. Once it's off the whole thing is easy to work on, everything is very accessible. Ford designed these trucks so the cab could come off easy for this reason.
