'04 6.0L F350 156,000mi-- oil leak coming from top of engine somewhere dripping down over BH, cant tell exactly where its coming from was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction? I thought it was a rear main seal issue but it seems to be coming from higher up. read some posts regarding ICP sensor and a CMP as leak sources, also somewhere near the turbo? any ideas??

Also 4x4 issues, engages but makes a grinding sound. Have aftermarket manual locking Warn hubs. Sounds like gears are grinding. I've tried engaging 4x4 then locking hubs, locking hubs then engaging 4x4, tried engaging 4x4 and not locking hubs... all results the same still have a grinding sound. someone mentioned CV joints to me?? what could this be. my only plan before bringing it to a dealer is to drain the front diff and check for metal wear damage in the fluid, also in the transfer case same strategy unless someone can point me in a better direction

We need to know if you have an early or late 04. Early 04 has the ICP sensor back behind the turbo on the back side of the motor. It was prone to leaking oil and causing running issues. If that's the case, it's wise to just replace the ICP sensor and the pigtail going to it. If you have a late 04, your ICP sensor will be in the passenger side valve cover. So look at the valve cover, if there's a big sensor going through the middle of it, it's a late 04 and we need to look elsewhere for the leak. My guess is it's an early 04 so the passenger valve cover will be bare.
