sweet smelling oil

Default sweet smelling oil

so i took my valve cover off to check out my injectors (still chasing this shake problem) and i noticed the oil smells really sweet. like if i didnt know oil was bad for you i probobly would've tried it. i dont know if the oil cooler has a crack in it. i have noticed my coolant goes dont somewhat quick in the resevoir. is this normanl?

Tough to say, but one sure fire way to know, send some in for analysis. Get one of the blackstone kits and send some in, they'll tell you everything in there.

Normally if oil cooler is cracked you will get oil in the antifreeze and be easy to see in the degas bottle, the reason is the engine oil pressure can get up to 75psi and the coolant psi is limited by the degas bottle cap of around 10psi.
