Default still having problems with 6.0

Have a 2004 f350 ford with 6.0, the man I got it from had a bully dog on it and took it to thr shop to have the pcm flashed. They flashed it with the bully dog on it and fried the dog. Now have having probow it will not startlems getting it started.
I changed the hpop- egr and cooler, while in send the ficm off to rebuild. Now it will not start. Bought an AE scan tool and am getting code u-0306 (software incompatibility with ficm) and code u-105 (lost communication with fue injector module)

Does any one know if the problem is because the software was not reset from the bully dog?
Could I buy another bully dog and install it to reset the pcm?

The software incompatibility is what you get when you have a FICM that didn't come on the truck. Not an issue at all, other than that soft code it throws. The lost communication is an issue however. Where did you send it for repair? Have you tried testing the FICM voltages yet?

I wouldn't buy another bullydog at all.

Usually when they flash the truck with the bullydog installed, you lose the stock program, but they're not really a true programmer, so I'm not sure how that works. Something tells me you're going to have to go to Ford and have it reflashed with a stock file.

That, or try calling BullyDog to see if they can get you a stock file to get it started.

Check the FICM voltages first, the lost communication one is bothering me.

Checked all the fuses I can find to the pcm and ficm, found none blown. Checked the connections with the limited wiring diagram that I could find found nothing there. Could not find one that gave voltage in and voltage out.
Mechanic I spoke with here in this small town keeps thinking I have a fuse problem. Is the ficm control module different than the ficm?

The ficm is located above the driver's side valve cover.

Remove the two 8mm bolts holding on the coolant resevoir and slide it out of the way.
There will be a "chrome" plate on top of the FICM, remove those two torx bit screws and pop the cover off.
There should be like 3 or 4 screws in there.
On the screw farthest to the right when looking at the front of the truck, test the voltage going to it with the key on and make sure you have a good ground.
During the initial injector buzz, the FICM voltage should never fall below 46 volts, even when cranking. IF it does, replace it

FICM stands for fuel injection control module, they're one in the same.

Here's a great read on the FICM and what it needs to work and how it works...

The FICM test procedure is right at the top of the page, quite simple but you need an extra set of hands. https://www.dieselbombers.com/ford-p...procedure.html
