wait to start light

Default wait to start light

i have checked my glow plug relay and apears to be ok i suspect my glow plugs are at fault. but my wait to start light goes out after about 10 sec my relay kicks out at 1 min 30 sec. why does my wait to start go out so soon. i love your site very informative

Wait to start light has nothing to do with the Glow plugs being on or off... Do you have an excursion or a pickup? If you have an excursion you have a Glow Plug controler not a relay. The relay you tested is for the intake air heater, and has nothing to do with the glow plugs.

Are youhaveing hard starts?
