Default will not lock into 4x4
i can shift into 4x4 but it wont lock in or when it dose it jumps out when i go up hills or through mud can anyone help me out

What kind of truck? My dads excursion would do the same, and we found a vacuum line in the wheel well that had come loose, solved everything.
