Default What kind of fuel milage are u getting ???

Ok, so I recently drove 770 miles and used around 45 gallons of fuel, which is around 17.1 mpg

recently I swicthed from mud/heavy lug tires to some nice open all terrain tires.... now I calculated out my fuel econemy for that last tank of fuel ... mostly in city but good freeway also.... now getting an impressive 20.6 mpg.....

my truck is a 7.3 IDI n/a 4spd 3.55's and 315/75/16 Cooper Discovery AT/3's .... they sure do ride smoother than my dunlop mud rovers....and there quieter also...

whats your fuel eco like ... numbers are great ....wondering if you turbo guys are getting any better ???

well i have 3.55's and 35" tires .... a 4 spd and I run the B5 diesel from shell ...(it says up to 5% bio).... about every other tank i throw 1/2 qt of atf in the tank to clean the injectors up and it always turns out great... I'm also running Royal Purple 15/40 full synthetic oil and a Wix filter ...... I run the beans out of it as well I wont shift before 3k on the tack and most of the time I wont shift till I hear the govenor..LOL..... they love to be romped on.......... I got told by the international dealer and my locan diesel fuel shop (where I get my injectors and IP's from) just run the beans out of it and it will love you...... like a detroit diesel ... slam your finger in the door and drive angry all day
