6.9 Cuts Out at High RPM
When I take off, if I got it floored, when I get close to shifting rpm the engine will cut out a little and will puff out some white-gray smoke. My buddy thought it may be a cracked injector cup or a busted O-ring, I am planning on getting new injectors anyway cause they are stock and have 280,000 miles on them. I also just added a straight pipe and cut out the restrictor plate in the air cleaner. What is y'alls thoughts?

tel your buddy to go pouns sand, he doesnt know a damn thing. what he listed is issues with the powerstroke engines. we do NOT have injector cups or orings to fail cept for our return lines.
now onto your issue, check your fuel presure going into your IP. sounds like the lift pump is not supplying enough fuel. pressure should be around 5-7 psi
