have a good shop do it. if anything is out of adjustment when reinstalling it, the pump could go to WOT and cause a run away. it is located inside the pump.

If anyone has the procedure for replacing the fss switch i would like to read through it, also any info on troubleshooting the ip would be very helpfull is there is way to determine whether or not the ip has failed?
Thanks

!986 f250 6.9

Has excellent fuel pressure to the ip,
cranks fast new batteries
no fuel past ip to injectors
Has 12 volts at fss , no click at fss when 12volts applied to solenoid...n
no click means no fuel to injectoors

all I want is the procedure to replace the fss would like to read through whats involved to decide if I can do it or I should send it out

I have found some info on changing the fss sounds pretty simple and straight forward just need to take care to get gov arm in proper position when reassembling.

I am applying 12 volts to the top electrical spade on thee ip there are 2 one on front towards fan thats the fss the other is the cold timing advance
