I hear you guys buying a 23 year old truck and expecting it not to have any problems is retarded. However buying a DD truck and it being down 1/2 the time ive had it which has been less then a month is very discouraging, especially when your family depends on it to get you to put food on the table. I'm glad I found a forum w knowledgeable diesel owners that can point me in the right direction.

I changed the alternator w a duralast and she fired right up and drives better now seems like she has more pep. Im going to keep her and give her some TLC.

That's all she needs man heck even my 99 needed a little Tlc and still needs some it seems 173000 mile and not a dang thing was done for maintenance, front ends getting rebuilt here soon and brakes mise well do it now
