question? got a 92 f250 4x4 repowered with a 6.9 idi with a banks sidewinder running 10lbs of boost at the max 5lbs cruising it has the zf5 in it with 4:10 gears runs nice and smooth never had an issue as far as cold starts or anything i tried to turn the pump up one flat it didnt like that as far as egt goes so i put it back. but as soon as i come to a good size hill wich we have here in nwpa it struggles going up them in 4th gear empty almost to the point where i got to go into 3rd gear anybody have a solution? oh and it will want to reach the 900 range on the pyro and i guarentee the ip fuel screw wasnt in its stock pos. when i got the truck.

the pump and injectors have a standard life span of 100000-150000 miles. my guess is your pump is heading out.

Hey DC , I put a rebuilt I pump and I still got NO power at hills as well.....could it be I need new Injectors but wouldnt it smoke or run rough if that was the case ? what about bad GP s ? I havent checked them since I got the truck six months ago but again starts fine runs fkn great in flats but chokes on hills. Could it be the Turbo going out ?

ok new pump had the garage install it starts up fine like always runs smooth still lacks on hills like it did before nothin different! except now my egt's climb so frikin quick. as soon as i hit a hill even a slight grade they go from 600 to 850 easy and i am empty a large hill i can hit 1000 in case u r wondering its got a banks waistgated sidewinder kit on it. i did adjust the fuel screw to get lower egt's but the power really lacks big time! i would say comp. or wore out motor but like i said it runs and starts fine even in cold weather it sat for 3weeks in cold weather 1 week being in the teens as soon as the wait to start light went out it fired after 3 rotations and purred not plugged in! could it be pump timing?
