Hi guys, I have a 94 ford 7.3 turbo deisel that will start shakeing at idle after it warms up. If you accelerate it smooths out. What could the cause this. Also it failed my states emissions inspection what could I do to get the smoke down or whatever it is they test for.

 

how many miles are on the motor and the fuel system? the shake and smoke issue is most likly a faulty injector.


at idle, crack each injector line loose one at a time. if motor changes sound, thats injector is good. no change will indicate thats the bad injector.


injectors and injection pump normally only good for 100000-125000 miles.
