7.3 idi injector leak

check the ends of you hard lines, they might be cracked. do you have the 3 or 4 clamps that hold the lines together?

should have clamps like this motor does. those clamps have to be there or the engine vibrations will crack the hard lines.

Yeah those clamps are there. It looks like the base of the injector is leaking. I ordered the Injector set and installation kit it should be here tomorrow so I can get back on the road.

That's where mine was leaking too make sure you get every copper gasket out then you should be good !

Cool. I can't wait to get my truck back on the road but will not get to find out for sure until this weekend when i have time to get the new injectors put in the truck,

new injectors get torqued to 35 ft lbs.

Cool good to know. I just got the injectors today and no instructions on torque specs. I was just logging on here too see if I could find them.

I installed the injectors today and the return line caps in the install kit i bought but there are no three way tees in this kit.... anyone else have this problem? Did I somehow get the wrong kit?

three way tee? should not have any 3 way tees.



go back and look at the picture i posted. u can see the treturn line routing there.

from fule filter to number on on pass side. then straight back to the last cyl and over to main. then same down drivers side.

wow, never seen it ran that way. that is sending all the returned fuel threw that one line. try and follow the pick i posted and run them like that. if needed i can try and get a better picture.
