I had to swap the rear yoke on an 85 F-250 I used to have when I did a 5spd swap. I just swapped it out and tightened the heck out of it. The book spec was 250ft/lbs but my wrench didn't go that high. I never had any problems with it and my friend who owns the truck now is doing just fine. I can see the potential to mess these things up, kind of makes you wonder how we get away with some of these things.

It had the sterling, the yoke I swapped on it came from a 1990 F-250 with a sterling.
