smoke out of behind intake?

ok 1991 f250 7.3 idi i got a little smoke coming from what looks like a canister right behind the intake of the engine but in front of the gp relay. any ideas what this is or what it means. to be really worried?

that is your cdr valce. pulls crankcase pressure into the intake.

Is smoke coming from the outside? Or did you have your air cleaner off?

There are 2 seals on the CDR, CDR to Intake and CDR to valley pan. One of them could have dried up and broken letting the smoke out.

cdr is like a pcv on a gasser. pulls crankcase pressure into the intake.

i woul dfix it just because if u see smoke coming out, that means there is an open hole into the motor, for water/dirt to go into.
