4x4s have a transfer case. Though you might be able to save a little money by having them cut down the 2wd shaft and put the 4wd yoke on it (if they are different) but drive shaft tubing doesn't cost that much.

I've looked, unfortunatly I live in the city now and the local junk yards don't have trucks like mine. The yokes on my broken shaft are still good so I may jus have to get the shaft rebuilt.

I would expect a new tube with labor should run you about $200 or so.

maybe a little more. my pops just had a shaft for his jeep lengthened 2 inches. so totale amount of tube used was around 2.5 ft. was 200 with labor and balancing.

I had to get my Rear drive shaft lengthened and 56" of 3.5x.083 tube cost me $75.04. Labor was $160 dollars but I also had them install a new carrier bearing and it was 2 piece drive shaft which would require more welding (both shafts had to be lengthened) so I imagine Labor should be a little cheaper. But I guess those things vary a lot from shop to shop.
