I have a 92 F250 7.3 Turbo auto. The truck has been doing great. One day I was driving and let off the pedal before a small curve and it died. I turned the key and it started right back up , But now to keep it running I have to keep a little pressure on the pedal or it will idle down real low. If i snap the throttle it will pick up normal , but come all the way down and die. It will idle, barely if i ease the throttle down, I did change the filter , but no change.Any ideas??

 

is it idling lower than normal? the adjustment is on the side of injection pump. pass side. looks like s adjustment that is on a carb. just turn screw in more to raise idle.

 

Yes, it is idling lower than normal. I saw the idle adjustment screw and will probably adjust that to bring it back up, but was wondering why all of a sudden the change in idle rpm? I did check the adjuster to see if it was loose and it wasn't.

 

not quite sure. maybe high idle solonoid was stuck and not letting the lever go all the way down.
