lookin at a 6.9
well like the title says ive found a 6.9 close to me. HG is blown but thats an easy enough fix. my real question is what is there in terms of power adders for the truck. im a 6.0 guy so im used to tuning trucks and all that good stuff so i really have no idea what i would be getting into with this thing. im guesin injectors and a turbo r some of the mods

thats y im looking at this one...its cheap as hell. wont take a ton of money to build up the way a 6.0 does and will run forever. my 6.0 on the other hand went in to get injectors done on labor day and every weekend i try to pick it up its got a problem. so im lookin for something reliable i can build on the side to be a back up to my pos 6.0

just put new injectors and some other stuff in it. basically dropped to much money into it in the past few weeks to be able to sell it and get my money out of it. thats y a 6.9 with a blown hg for 500 bucks is right up my ally. i figure i can drop 3k in is and have a good reliable every day work truck. also my parents have a ranch so it would also be a ranch truck that i wouldnt have to worry about messing up the paint on. heres a link to in on craigs list. if yall have time and dont mind would ya look at it and tell me what you think

That'd be sweet if you can get it for 250. I got my truck for 600. The guy was asking 1000. I offered 500 and he asked if that's the best I could do. I told him I can give you 600 tonight otherwise he'd have to wait till I can get some more cash and he took 6. I think I got a pretty good truck for the age for 600. If you can get it for 250, fix the HG, slap some paint on it, and BOMB it you'll have done good as long as nothing else pops up that needs fixed. Something I just thought of is that the factory IP and injectors usually go out about 100,000 miles so be sure to try to verify the mileage and how many times the odometer has rolled over.
