glow plugs wont work

Default glow plugs wont work

I have a 1986 Ford f350 dually and my glow plugs wont work at all wont start have to use either to start or wd40 the previous owner installed a push start button thats wired seperatley to the turn key ignition. i replaced the relay and glow plugs but the wire harness seems to have no power to it. somebody who has experience in 6.9l idi please help i need this truck for work and home.

never ues either to start the truck it will lead to something much worse. does it have a block heater?

the solinoid on the pass fender, not on the fender, but mounted to the plastic innerfender is for the gp. see if u are gettting power threw it when button is pushed.

works for me, you just have to do it right

I have enough experiance on the 6.9 diesel to say forget the glowplugs either is cheaper

till it breaks a pistion. plus they get "addicted" to it.

i know either is bad for a diesel theres a mechanic i spoke to said it shouldnt cause any damage it used in small amounts and if the glow plugs arent working it should be fine which mine are not working at all
