Question stupid ?

ok i know this may seem a bit moronic but how do u go about turning up the turbo on a 7.3 idi or does the turbo only got to a certain psi that it was when it came from the hypermax ppl?

How much boost are you running now? With the IDI motors you don't want to go over 14 psi (if I remember right) and that's with head studs.

16-18 is max over 12 is super heating air so intercooler is needed and around 14 psi is were you need to stud it and you shorten the wastegate rod to gain more boost. It's a round regulator on the side of your turbo with a rod. take it off and shorten it 3 turns at a time

Only wastegated turbos are adjustable. 12-13psi is ok for every day driving, but I wouldn't go any higher without studs.

well its not a waste gated turbo so i dont think ill b doing any adjusting sounds like a better idea to just get the moose injectors and ip and an intercooler or a powerstroke engine or even 12 valve that would b great

if i was to do it do a 12v instead of a powerstroke less eletronic to swap and u would enjoy a cummins more
