I'm doing a 4x4 and diesel conversion in my 90. I was wondering if I could use my serpintine system, alternatnator harmonic power steering etc on the 6.9 with some modifications. or just use the mounting brackets off the 460 and mount it up to the 6.9. I like the s belt better than million belts you have to fish around

 

I'm gonna say "not likely" but you wont know until you try. I dont think the mounting locations for the brackets would match the holes on the block.

 

find a newer 7.3 idi. not sure when they started it, but i know the 93/94 idi engines had a serp setup on them.

 

I figured it wouldn't fit just doesn't hurt to ask some fella's and findin a 93 or 94 it woulld be hard around here. Just can't wait to get everything done.

 

I know that 92 had the serp. (just trying to make it easier to find)

 

Ya I think I'll just use the regualur belts. But so far I have money saved up for all new fluids and fiters u joints a flex plate, belts, lift pump, gearse, silcone some grade 8 bolts, auto meter c2 35 psi boost gauge, 250 degree trans temp gauge, pyro, auto meter diesel tack, A-pillar, a short shaft to convert my e40d to 4x4 a tow and go shift kit. four inch exhaust since I have the banks kit with the 3 inch down pipe, MBRP 6 inch tip. All new Rancho 9000 shocks. My uncle might me trading me his american racing 16.5's, for my american racing 16's rims. I'm putting 6 six cab lights on the lid and some other little things I have a linear amp for my cb(illigel ) a indoor pa speaker for my cb. A outdoor PA instead of my wilson 2000 I'm putting on a wilson 1000 on the top. And I'm taking off all the chrome off my grill and light bezels and painting them either flat black or a matte red. And mingle is going to make me a 18 or 20 inch sticker for my back window that says "I'd rather be 6.9L than strokin . It will be one bad *** 90 ford and plus I have my full stereo system. two 12's two pionner 6x9's and six inch componets up front pionner deck orion amp almani capcitor monster cable wire. She'll be a beut when I get done
