Default 6.9-7.3 l non turbo swob

k i got a 86 ford w/6.9L im going to put a 7.3L with non turbo in it but i also have a 99 w/7.3L powerstroke in it and im wanting to take the turbo off it and put on the 7.3L non turbo is thise possible without swopping the intake or heads

The intake or heads off a power stroke wont work on you 7.3 as far as I know. The turbo would fit if you make it but my guess would be it will make to much psi. You could turn that down but I don't know how that would work.

ok so i would need the inter cooler and about how much psi would i want without herting the motor

I am going to guess that it would be somewhere around 10-14psi but then I don't know how well the turbo would work. I would just hang around for a while and there are a few guys on hear that know these engines really well and they can help you with this.

u can install the psd turbo, but it will be an all custom job. nothing will bolt on.

10-12 psi is max without headstucs

best bet and easiest would be to find a turbo made for the idi. banks, ats, and hypermax all made/make them.

dose anyone no someone or have a turbo that will work on my 7.3 idi that they would be willing to sell i looked on ebay and no luck
