90 7.3 running hot

Default 90 7.3 running hot

i have a 1990 7.3 all winter the temp guage never made it to the n on normal today i hooked up a 16' cattle trailer empty went about 10 miles and it started getting pretty warm between the A and the L on normal and stayed there got in some traffic going about 30mph and it started cooling down then when got back on the main road it started getting hot going about 50-55 it would stay between the a and the l go 60 it would try to start getting hotter no smoke out of the pipes radiator looks to be clean inside and through the grill any suggestions

It's hard to put faith in the factory guages, I would get a mechanical temp guage so you know exactly what the temp is.

I put a mechanical temp guage on it and run it pretty hard with the trailer and the hottest it would get was 200-205

Mine runs between 190-210 usually, up to 230 sometimes. International says max 245
