Default Oil pressure gauge actin funky

Okay well im kinda worried my oil pressure indicator is not workin anymore it comes up from the resting spot to the L on the gauge after about 20 seconds. Im hoping its not the pump. This is on my 88 F250 7.3 5spd.

I forgot to say that i changed the oil bc it had been 3500 miles on it since october. I figured it might have been reading low like it usually did when it was time for a oil change. Changed it and no improvement this time. Still takes forever to come up to the L and the engine light to go out.

you could always install a mechanical gauge then you would know for sure what your oil pressure is

You could try cleaning or replacing the sensor.

Okay well i fiddled with puttin a new sending unit in and then taking that back out bc it wasnt reading yet. I put mechanical gauge in still showed no pressure. Come to find out there was all kinds of gunk built up in that extension tube from the block to the sending unit. So i cleaned that tube and put it back together magicly it works again.
