alright thanks man, i had a switch hooked up for my glow plugs the last time my controller went bad and the wire came out right by the soleniod so i just hooked it to it to start it for now because i have to haul some stuff off in the next couple days and then i have to move. but i will check it out thanks

 

might want to go inside to the steering column and check the switch
it has a long rod that activates the switch from the key
91 has a pot metal connecting link between the tumbler and down rod
these wear and fail to make the rod go far enough to activate the starter
(it will turn the key on but not start)
ps might be the switch?

 

no the rod is fine checked all that and i put a new switch in it and a new soleniod on the fender well
